HOW TO GET YOUR CHIP IN HTML CODE

NameChatter approved appraisal moderators are allowed to display a "chipin" button under the appraisals board as a way to accept tips for good advice and appraisals given to fellow domainers.

ChipIn.com allows for chatters to make donations via PayPal, directly into your account. ChipIn does not take any fees and is the easiest way to get your donation button onto NameChatter.com.

Below are instructions on how to get your chip-in code and send it to the site owner to be published on the domain name appraisals webpage on NameChatter.com. Please read the instructions to be sure you have the right color and size and title for your donation button.

Step by Step Chip In Donation Button Code Instructions

1) On the homepage at http://www.chipin.com, click the "Sign Up" text on the top right in the yellow box. Follow the sign up steps and provide your PayPal email address that your donations should be sent to.

2) Once signed in, click the "Start a New ChipIn" text on the "Dashboard" tab page in the white "Things you can do" section.

3) Next Fill in the "Create a ChipIn" blanks.

I am collecting for: Use whatever you want for this field, I suggest "NameChatter".

I want to raise: Leave this field blank.

I need it by: Extend this field by one year, (the max).

Send my funds to: Enter you PayPal email address.

And click "Start Your Event!".

4) Once you create a new ChipIn event you are taken back to the dashboard page. Now, click the big orange button that says, "Create Widgets Now".

5) Next Fill in the "Promote This ChipIn" blanks.

ChipIn: Be sure to select the correct ChipIn event that you just created.

Widget Title: YourUserName : You MUST use your NameChatter/Chatango user name in this field.

Widget Info: NameChatter appraisal donations.

Size: 120x60.

Color: Red.

Now scroll down to the next step on the same page.

6) Select "Other" on the "Select where you want to put your widget" section.

7) Copy your ChipIn HTML code and email it to rich@dnoa.net. Add "Appraisal Moderator ChipIn Code" to the subject and include your NameChatter moderator user name in the body along with the code. Your button should be posted within 24 hours of receiving the email. Only pre-approved NameChatter appraisal moderators should send donate button codes to published.
